Taylor

Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomena A superstar who managed to seamlessly transition from country to the mainstream making her an iconic popular icon, and sweeping all over the world at the same time. Swift removed her roots in the country like they were a second skin, revealing she was possibly the most savvy popular singer/songwriter in her generation one who could harness the mood of the moment and personalize it and equally impressively do opposite. Her talents were apparent in some of her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift discovered her true identity and gain an audience that was large. The album was able to have significant appeal not just on the U.S. where it racked up six platinum singles thanks to Top Ten hits Love Story and the hit single You Belong with Me but throughout the world performing particularly well within Australia, U.K. Canada and Australia. Speak Now delivered almost two years later, which consolidated the popularity and pushed Swift towards the top of stardom. Her popularity only increased through her subsequent three albums - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017) and found her moving assuredly into the realm of pop that she had already been a part of. When she reduced her sound with the stripped-down releases of 2020, Folklore, and Evermore however, she remained in the top spot. It was a position that was confirmed with the re-recordings she had made from her earlier catalog, as along with Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
