Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson, an American actress and model who has retired as an actor. Elson, who began in acting as a child model/actress and then as professional actress, is famous for her portrayal in the role of Alice Tyler as seen on the science-fiction drama show on CBS. Andrea auditioned for the lead role in ALF, the 1986 hit show. She was a finalist. She worked on many hit TV shows and also Movies of the Weekly for several more seasons before she quit the entertainment world to focus on her family. Andrea Elson was playing Lynn Tanner her teenager daughter of Kate and Willie during a time that she was going through a turbulent period. In the 2000 retrospective of People Elson said developing as a young woman in front of a satcom's viewing audience was difficult. Born on March 6, 1969, in New York City, this green-eyed actress was a frequent traveler because of her father's job in the field of advertising. For the 10 years prior to her birthday on the 10th of March Andrea lived in New York Chicago San Diego Los Angeles. Andrea got her agent while living in San Diego, where she was the first to win a part that she tried out for. Fusco explained the decision by saying "ALF is 285 years old, so he is an adult who is able to drink alcohol." In the years when ALF started to become becoming more famous, NBC said that Fusco would not be able to continue having ALF drinking beer with the kids. This was a negative role of a model. Fusco maintained that he believed ALF was an adult and was able to handle drink. In 1995, Fusco was diagnosed with lymphoma. It was treated successfully and the disease remained in remission until the year 2019. The illness ended his life on the 26th of June 2019 when he was 75. His funeral was held at the Lillian Booth Actors Home, Englewood NJ.
