Maria Brink
Maria Brink was born December 18th 1977. She is an American performer and songwriter. The band released seven studio albums and received four nominations from Alternative Press Music Awards. In addition, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" and "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and the fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Brink is one of the eleven women from heavy rock who matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Top 25 Hot Chicks In Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. Brink moved to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25, in search of an act. Before that, she worked in retail as well as in cafes and bars. She was introduced to Chris Howorth, now a member of the band, at an audition in 2004. Howorth initially turned down Brink due to her being female. Howorth apologized two weeks later and then hired Brink to be his singer. They formed Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as drummer. Later, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined them as guitarists. Soon after, the band changed their name to In This Moment
